Frampton Community Association

Information on the Frampton Community Association (FCA)

The Frampton on Severn Community Association is a charity  (Registered Charity Number 273675) whose objectives are to “promote the benefit of the inhabitants of Frampton on Severn and the neighbourhood,….to maintain a community centre,…. and to maintain or improve the public open space known as the Frampton on Severn Recreation Ground”.

It is governed by a board of trustees representing local organisations and groups. Its community centre is well used by people and organisations in the village and surrounding area. For example, older residents have regular weekly lunches, exercise sessions, and many older folk come to twice-weekly bingo! For younger people, there is the Brownies group, the junior Silver Band, the young theatrical group, and indoor tennis coaching during the winter.

The school and its PTA use the hall from time to time, and the church has a young people’s group, which uses the centre for a range of activities. It is also used on an ad-hoc basis by groups such as county sports organisations and Narcotics Anonymous, and by individuals for children’s parties, wedding receptions, and funeral wakes.

The FCA is currently reviewing all its assets with the aim of ensuring that all of them are being used to best effect.

The FCA publishes the village newsletter six times each year.
